What impact would your death have on your family? Not something we like to think about, but something we need to. Here are a handful of young peoples’ real-life stories about their hardships and perseverance following the death of their parent. The financial assistance from the Manulife Life Lessons Scholarship Program has helped them to achieve some of their goals.

The Manulife Life Lessons Scholarship Program is the first Life Lessons Scholarship Program in Canada, for students who’ve experienced the death of a parent or guardian with little to no life insurance. This annual scholarship program helps combat the financial burden of paying for post-secondary education during an emotional time and recognizes the perseverance that so many youth show in such adversity.

If you know someone who has experienced the loss of a parent and they did not have a life insurance plan in place, please let them know about this scholarship opportunity. Hopefully this scholarship can make their load just a bit lighter.

For more information about the scholarship and how to qualify and apply, see the link below.

Applications are being accepted until March 31st.

This highlights the importance of having a financial plan and reminds us why we need life insurance. Please share so we can all be aware and protect what matter most, protect what you love.
